West London Suburbs (Hounslow, Richmond, Southall, Hayes)
The West London Suburbs have a distinct feel and are heavily influenced by Asian Culture. 55% of Southall’s residents are Pakistani, for example. Hayes’ playing fields and Richmond have a suburban feel and Hounslow is a rapidly regenerating urban centre.
In this niche of London, you’ll find the Glassy Junction, the first London pub to accept payment in Indian Rupees. Also, the Sri Guru Singh Sabah Gudwara Mosque is located here, the largest Sikh temple outside of India.
Choose a Richmond flatshare and it’s likely you’ll be living near the superb Richmond Park, as well as living close to the River Thames. It’s no wonder this is a popular area!
Richmond has many fine restaurants, including The Victoria on West Temple Green. This venue has a loyal clientele, a seasonal Modern European menu and offers excellent service.
The Hounslow Harriers Football Team was featured in the 2002 film 'Bend it Like Beckham', whose main location was Southall.
If you love to mix Asian and British culture with the outdoors, you will fall in love with the West London Suburbs! |
